Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is designed to revitalise damaged skin. This is where there are signs of sun damage, uneven skin tones and/or pigmentation, acne and scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.
The peels I prescribe are classified as ‘light chemical peels.’ The aim is
to promote a more youthful look with minimal side effects. The side effects can be initial erythema (redness) which is usually mild with possible skin flaking / shedding or dryness on days 3 to 5 post-peel.
An initial skin analysis would be undertaken in order to prescribe the chemical peel of choice for each individual. A course of 3 to 6 peels is recommended for optimum results.
Procedure Chemical Peels available:
- Ascorbic acid (Vit C)
- Lactic acid (AHA)
- Salicylic acid (BHA)
- Trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
